Community policy

Giveaway rules

Last updated October 14, 2026. This is a community policy for the Harbor website, not legal advice.

What these giveaways are

Harbor giveaways are free promotional events run by the Harbor community for its members. There is nothing to buy and entering costs no currency: no Shells, no other in-server currency, and no real money. They are not a lottery, casino, or gambling product. By entering you also agree to the Terms of Service.

Giveaways are not sponsored, endorsed, or run by Discord, by any card game publisher, or by the makers of any bot used in the server. Names of games and cards are used only to describe a prize.

Who can enter

  • You must be at least 13 and allowed to use Discord where you live.
  • You must be a member of the Harbor Discord when you enter and when the giveaway ends.
  • One entry per person. Entering with more than one account is not allowed.
  • Users banned from community features cannot enter and cannot win.
  • Staff may enter unless a giveaway says otherwise.

How to enter and leave

  • Tap Enter on the giveaway post in Discord, or use /giveaway. This website is view-only.
  • If you do not meet a requirement, the bot tells you privately which one and you can try again once you do.
  • You can leave a giveaway at any time before it ends, and enter again.
  • Entries close at the end time shown on the giveaway. Late entries are not accepted.

Requirements

A giveaway can be open to everyone or ask for conditions such as specific roles, wearing the server tag, boosting the server, time in the server, Discord account age, being on the team roster, holding a currency balance (nothing is spent), invites, or not having won recently. Each giveaway lists exactly what it needs.

  • Requirements are checked when you enter and checked again when the giveaway ends.
  • Nothing is checked in between. If you lose a role or take off the tag and put it back before the end, your entry still counts.
  • If you do not meet a requirement at the end, your entry is removed before winners are picked. Leaving the server removes your entry.
  • A giveaway may name roles that skip the requirements, and roles that are not allowed to enter. A role that is not allowed always wins over one that skips.

Bonus entries

Everyone who qualifies gets one entry. A giveaway may add extra entries for certain roles, for wearing the server tag, or for boosting. The giveaway says whether bonuses add together or only the largest counts, and whether there is a cap per member. Bonus entries are counted from what you hold when the giveaway ends, not when you entered. More entries mean a higher chance, never a guarantee.

How winners are drawn

  • Winners are picked at random by the bot when the giveaway ends, weighted by entries. Staff cannot choose a winner.
  • Unless a giveaway says otherwise, one person can win only one prize in it. If there are more prizes than eligible entrants, the extra prizes are not awarded.
  • Each draw is recorded with the odds, so staff can review it later.
  • Staff may end a giveaway early or draw it by hand. Entrants are checked in the same way first.
  • If Discord is unavailable at the end time, the draw waits for it. If it stays unavailable, the draw goes ahead with the entries as they stood.

Claiming a prize

Winners are announced in the giveaway channel. Some giveaways ask each winner to press Claim prize within a set time, shown on the giveaway. A prize that is not claimed in time is drawn again for someone else, and the first winner has no further right to it. Keep an eye on the channel after a giveaway you entered ends; the bot does not send direct messages.

Rerolls

Staff may draw a prize again for up to 7 days after its draw, for example when a winner left the server, used more than one account, was banned, cannot receive the prize, or when something technical went wrong. A person who has already held that prize is not picked again. Rerolls are announced in the same channel.

Prizes and delivery

  • Prizes are arranged in Discord, not through this website. Staff may open a private thread with you to sort out delivery; only you and the officers in charge can see it.
  • You are responsible for giving correct delivery details and for replying within a reasonable time. A prize that cannot be delivered after a fair attempt may be rerolled.
  • Physical prizes ship only where staff can reasonably send them. If a prize cannot be sent to you, staff may offer an alternative or reroll it.
  • Any taxes, duties, or customs fees where you live are yours to pay.
  • Prizes are given as described and cannot be swapped for cash. A listed value is an estimate, not an offer to buy or sell. Condition and grading are as stated by the person providing the prize.
  • Some giveaways give winners a server role for a set time. It is removed automatically.

Fair play

Do not use alternate accounts, trade or sell entries, borrow a role or tag only to enter, automate entering, or pressure other members or staff. Staff may remove entries, void a win, and ban accounts for abuse.

What we check and show

To run a giveaway the bot looks at your Discord roles, server tag, boost status, the date you joined the server, your account creation date, and, when a giveaway asks for them, your roster status, currency balance and invite count. It stores your entry, the entries you had, and whether you won. If a giveaway's entrant list is public, we may show Discord names, avatars, entry counts, and odds on the site. Winners are announced in Discord and listed in the winners history. Staff can make an entrant list private; the winner may still be announced. See the Privacy policy for the rest.

Staff decisions and changes

Staff may cancel a giveaway before it is drawn, change a listing, remove an entry, or correct a mistake. If a giveaway is cancelled, no winners are drawn. Staff decisions on eligibility, draws, and prizes are final. Giveaways are provided as-is: we do not promise that every giveaway runs exactly as scheduled. These rules may change; the date at the top shows the latest version. Void where prohibited. Questions and data requests go through the Harbor Discord.
